Aaaaahhh. Spring is in the air. The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and it's time for a fresh new issue of the MailChimp newsletter...
Subject Lines that Get Opens
Want some real examples of subject lines that get great open rates? We recently took 40 million emails sent from MailChimp, and compared subject lines from the campaigns with the highest open rates (60-80%), and the ones with the lowest (1-14%). The results were eye-opening to say the least (pun intentional). If you're looking for ways to improve your open rate, be sure to read this study.

New Add-On: A.I.M. Reports
Our standard campaign reports are pretty darn useful, but some of you "power users" just want more (you know who you are). So we created an add-on to MailChimp, called A.I.M. Reports (Actionable Intelligence and Metrics). For a one-time setup fee of $99, they'll show you who opened your emails, what they clicked, and how often. You can even drill down and see daily activity reports for each recipient. Use A.I.M. Reports to see if key clients are interested in your product, whitepaper, or upcoming event. It even generates a report for who didn't open, so you can send followup campaigns, or offline communications. Interested? Log in to MailChimp, go to the Account tab, and click the "Install" button under A.I.M. Reports.

MailChimp Nominated for a Webby
We just found out that MailChimp was nominated for a Webby! For those of you who don't already know, the Webbys is sort of "The Oscars for the Internet." What's crazy about the whole thing is that we're in the category of "IT/Software/Hardware" and we're up against the likes of IBM, Sun Microsystems, Dell, and C|Net. Yikes. So if you're a MailChimp fan (or you just really, really like irony), help us win by casting your vote!
